PSA: Haloumi Chips have arrived

We’re changing the chip game with cheese.

Get excited. Haloumi Chips are here and they are available across all Zeus stores from today, but only for a limited time!

Haloumi has been a staple in Mediterranean cooking for hundreds of years. Its high melting point and famously squeaky texture make it a unique and versatile cheese. At Zeus, we usually eat our haloumi just like Yia Yia makes it, grilled and served with a dash of lemon and a sprinkle of oregano.

But we thought the time was right to give traditional a modern twist. And what better way to do that than to combine haloumi with our other favourite snack, the humble chip?

We gave the idea to our head chefs to work their magic and thus the Zeus Haloumi Chips were born: pieces of haloumi dusted in tapioca flour, lightly fried and served with smoky yogurt and lemon.

We chose tapioca flour for frying because not only is it healthy and slightly sweet, it is also gluten-free. For the dip (you can’t have chips without dip) we decided to put a modern take on another Greek classic. We combine Greek yogurt with a rich, smoky seasoning.

Most importantly, like any good chip, Haloumi Chips are addictive. Try them at your local Zeus today.

Don’t worry, our traditional grilled haloumi is still available and so are our Yia Yia’s chips. We won’t judge if you order all three.
