Loretta translates to “laurel or sweet bay tree,” In Ancient Greece, the laurel leaves were a powerful symbol of victory, used to make wreaths and crowns for athletes to wear after their wins.
Speaking of wins, we’d like to introduce you to a band hailing from Sydneys Northern Beaches and their music thats winning the hearts of listeners across Australia – Loretta!
Loretta’s style of indie pop reminds us of our delicious tzatziki – Refreshing, cool, creamy with a zesty bite and a crunch!
Sydney’s Northern Beaches have seen more amazing musical talent (rock and) roll in from their shores than Zeus Street Greek has wrapped pitas! (Well almost). Midnight Oil, INXS, Lime Cordial to name just a few.
Loretta are an addition to that list as tantalising as our Greek food is to the tastebuds! We know you’ll agree after watching their “Live From Happy” session below.
